Can palm oil production be made sustainable ?
« On an ecological level, we know that there is the issue of transportation and a whole lot of things. I know it involves lands that turned into…that were completely burned. This production is done at the expense of the local populations, and for me, that’s bad. »
Answer from Grégory Coquille, Director of Research and Development at Cérélia
« At our company, we’ve truly chosen to work with sustainable palm oil, 100% sustainable. This oil was manufactured under environmentally respectful conditions, so there’s no deforestation, and also respecting the local populations involved in harvesting this oil. So this is a very important point, and our company is very strongly committed to continuing this approach, with a clean and healthy palm oil supply chain. »
